About Dr. Mark Pruzansky

Mark E. Pruzansky, MD holds three Board Certifications: Orthopaedic Surgery, Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand, and Subspecialty Certifcate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

He specializes in hand and microsurgery as well as arthroscopic surgery and reconstructive surgery of the upper and lower extremities. Dr. Pruzansky graduated from Columbia College, The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Orthopedic Program, New York City. He was a Hand Surgery Fellow in both New Orleans and San Francisco - birth places for the reconstruction of congenital anomalies and for microsurgery of the upper extremity.

Dr. Pruzansky furthered his study of Sports Medicine at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He takes care of athletes from numerous local high schools, and he has served as a consultant for the New York Road Runners Club. Tennis, skiing, running, and weight training compliment his interest in Sports Medicine. Dr. Pruzansky is affiliated with The Mount Sinai Medical Center and with Lenox Hill Hospital. He is on the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and lectures to medical students and physicians locally and nationally.

Dr. Pruzansky is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand, the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Orthopedic Research Society, and has published numerous scientific articles on Hand Surgery and Sports Medicine.
